Jorge E. Jimenez-Marcos brings his clients broad experience in the design, construction and supervision of major projects around the world. Mr. Jimenez-Marcos personally oversees and directs all projects produced by the company.
He is a firm believer in the notion that the creative process in professional firms should only begin with the design concept. True creation spans the spectrum from concept, through the physical processes entailed in building, to the final stages of detail-oriented completion.
This idea began to take hold during his formative years of secondary study at the distinguished Otto Krause National Industrial School. Upon completing the six year program, he received the title of Maestro Mayor de Obras, a specialized degree in construction which also confers a license to build. This rigorous technical program provides the equivalent of a college education in engineering technology, similar to a Bachelor of Engineering Technology program in the United States.
He continued his education at the University Of Buenos Aires School Of Architecture, where he graduated with honors in 1970. Particularly influential among his professors was Vladimiro Acosta, a recognized expert in housing developments. Mr. Jimenez-Marcos complemented his formal training with practical work experience and study tours in New York and Western Europe. He then served as an Adjunct Professor of Architecture on the Dean’s team.
He was also a licensed member of the Sociedad Central de Arquitectos de Argentina (SCA), the equivalent of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) in the United States. At this time, he is an International Associate with the AIA.
During his professional career Mr. Jimenez-Marcos designed and supervised a variety of major projects in Argentina and around the world. In Argentina, one of his principal clients was the Argentinean Business Employee’s Union, for whom he designed and built a number of low-cost housing projects. He also supervised construction of the American Embassy in Buenos Aires.
His international projects include the design and construction of PEMEX Employee Housing in Tampico, Mexico, design of luxury
